Pierpaolo Marano

is a Professor of Insurance law and regulation at the Catholic University of Milan, the University of Malta, and the University of Latvia. A widely sought speaker and author on insurance law, and one of the drafters of the Italian Code of Private Insurance, he serves as an academic member of the Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholders Group at the EIPA. Moreover, Prof. Marano chairs the Scientific Committee of AIDA Europe, and he is the Director of the AIDA Europe Research Series on Insurance Law and Regulation published by Springer. He is practising in Milan as a Legal Counsel on insurance law and regulation issues, and he is a member of the board of directors of insurance undertakings.
